A Wee Bit of Nova Scotia, and a Quilt

On the way home from my sort-of-local fabric shop the other day, I came to a stop sign.  The sensible side of my brain kept shrieking TURN LEFT!!!! but the fun side said what-the-heck, lets go exploring, turn RIGHT.  And the fun side won!  I wound up in Morden,  a little fishing village along the Bay of Fundy.  It was warm, sunny, and a perfect spot to visit.  You can see New Brunswick off in the distance.

It just doesn't get much prettier than this.

I drove down to the beach, and found a perfect spot for sittin' and thinkin'.  A maybe a little rock picking too.

There was one other car there, but no sign of the people, and no wonder;  the tide was out and it was a perfect place to explore.

I took these pictures with my brand new phone.  And why do I have a brand new phone?
Well,  I have a life lesson for you.  Before you throw your jeans in the washer, check the pockets. Enough said.

And my trip to the sort-of-local fabric shop netted me some beautiful batiks.

I'm happy to say this little batik quilt top is on its way to its new home with one of my best customers, in Illinois.

Make Stuff.  Be Happy.

Almost Spring in Digby . . .

My travels today took me to Digby, so I took some pictures to share. Then a stop at McDonalds - because you just have to  sometimes...
